PT Pulse - Article 1 - Introductions!

Hey everyone!

Heather here from RehabMaine, bringing you the first “PT Pulse” post. Future PT Pulse posts (that’s close to being a tongue twister) will highlight the purpose and benefit of massage for various orthopedic conditions, for example the common ailment of Plantar Fasciitis. This first edition however is all about introductions! So, for those of you that do not know me, I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy and founder of RehabMaine, a massage based PT practice located in the lovely town of Pittsfield, Maine. I have been practicing for nearly 12 years in a variety of settings and have recently chosen to establish my own “brick and mortar” practice. The practice will focus primarily on what I have always been the most passionate about in my career, manual therapy. RehabMaine will work to attract clients that are simply looking to relax, healing from an injury, or dealing with chronic pain. In identifying clients that come in regularly with problem areas we are revisiting massage after massage, I hope to provide education on stretching and strengthening for those problem areas to offer longer lasting results between treatments. In blending my love of manual therapy and my physical therapy background, I hope to provide Pittsfield and the surrounding communities with a unique therapeutic practice close to home. We are located in the beautiful and historic Riverside Coworking & Company building. Please check out the rest of our website soon and find a service that might suit your needs. I look forward to seeing you soon!
